“RBot” is a JDD Lab Prototype
It is built to be a Redditor on Reddit, on the subReddit “r/legaladvicecanada”.
What does Rbot Do?
Rbot uses AI “with guardrails”. It identifies posts from Redditors in BC who are asking for help with a legal problem, and it responds with information that directly answers a person’s question using information on legal advice website which already exist in BC. Read more about Rbot.

Why did the JDD lab build Rbot?
Surveys show most Canadians try and solve their legal problems on their own, and most of them look for help online. Our research showed that most people looking online for help go to … Reddit. We decided to build a way to help them right where they were asking for it, on Reddit.
